  3. 3. Gently rub the grains with your fingers to remove bitter substances.
  4. 4. Place the washed quinoa grains into a pot.
  5. 5. Add three times the amount of water.
  6. 6. Bring the water to a boil.
  7. 7. Reduce the heat to the lowest setting.
  8. 8. Let the quinoa simmer for about 12 minutes.
  9. 9. Remove the pot from the heat.
  10. 10. Let the quinoa swell in the pot for 10 minutes.
  11. 11. Lightly season the quinoa with salt.
  12. 12. Drizzle a little olive oil over it.
