Ingredients
- 250 g Whole grain long-grain rice
- Salt
Instructions
- 1. Put the rice into a pot.
- 2. Pour in 500 milliliters of water.
- 3. Lightly salt the water.
- 4. Place the pot on a medium heat setting.
- 5. Bring the mixture to a boil.
- 6. Stir the rice once.
- 7. Reduce the heat to the lowest setting.
- 8. Let the rice simmer uncovered for about 15 minutes.
- 9. Wait until almost all the liquid has been absorbed.
- 10. Place a clean kitchen towel over the pot rim.
- 11. Place the matching lid on top of the towel.
- 12. Keep the heat on the lowest possible setting.
- 13. Cook the rice for another 10 to 12 minutes.
- 14. Remove the pot from the stove.
- 15. Let the rice rest covered for about 7 minutes.
- 16. Fluff the rice with a fork.
- 17. Serve the rice warm.
