  1. 1. Rinse the sea bass inside and out under running water.
  2. 2. Pat the fish dry with a kitchen towel.
  3. 3. Season the fish inside and out with salt and pepper.
  4. 4. Squeeze the lemon and pour the juice into a small bowl.
  5. 5. Peel the garlic cloves.
  6. 6. Press the garlic directly into the bowl with the lemon juice.
  7. 7. Stir the oil into the lemon-garlic mixture.
  8. 8. Brush the sea bass inside and out with the marinade.
  9. 9. Make four diagonal cuts into the skin on both sides using a sharp knife.
  10. 10. Wash the bay leaves and shake them dry.
  11. 11. Place one bay leaf into each of the cuts.
  12. 12. Place the fish into two fish grilling baskets.
  13. 13. Close the grilling baskets.
  14. 14. Grill the fish on the hot grill for about 15 minutes on each side.
