🍽️ Grilled Salmon on Cedar Planks

Ingredients
- 2 spring onions
- 2 shallots
- 2 garlic cloves
- 2 sprigs dill
- 0.5 lime (juice)
- 2 tbsp maple syrup
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- salt
- pepper (from the mill)
- 4 salmon fillets (skinless approx. 160 g)
Instructions
- 1. Soak the cedar plank in cold water for at least one hour, ideally overnight.
- 2. Wash the spring onions, trim the ends, and slice them into thin rings.
- 3. Peel the shallots and garlic. Finely dice the garlic and slice the shallots into rings.
- 4. Rinse the dill, shake off excess water, and finely chop the dill tips.
- 5. Mix all prepared ingredients in a small bowl with the lime juice, maple syrup, and olive oil.
- 6. Season the marinade with salt and pepper to taste.
- 7. Rinse the salmon, pat it dry, place it in a shallow dish, and spread the marinade over the fillets.
- 8. Let the fish marinate while you preheat the grill.
- 9. Place the dried cedar plank on the hot grill grate and wait covered until it starts to smoke after four to five minutes.
- 10. Place the marinated salmon on the plank and cook it covered for ten to fourteen minutes until it is slightly translucent and pink.
- 11. Serve the salmon immediately while hot on the cedar plank.

- 14. Rinse the salmon, pat dry, place in a shallow dish and distribute the marinade over the pieces. Let it sit until the grill is hot.

- 16. Place the dried wood on the hot grate and wait covered until it starts to smoke after 4-5 minutes.
- 17. Place the marinated fish on top and cook covered for 10-14 minutes until slightly translucent and pink.
- 18. Serve immediately hot on the cedar wood plate.
