  1. 1. Peel the garlic cloves.
  2. 2. Press the garlic through a garlic press.
  3. 3. Mix the garlic with the olive oil in a small bowl.
  4. 4. Let the prawns thaw at room temperature.
  5. 5. Take a small, sharp knife.
  6. 6. Make a shallow cut along the back of the prawn meat.
  7. 7. Cut deep enough until you see the black intestinal tract.
  8. 8. Carefully remove the tract with the tip of the knife.
  9. 9. Rinse the prawns under cold water.
  10. 10. Pat the prawns dry with kitchen paper.
  11. 11. Wash the zucchini thoroughly.
  12. 12. Slice the zucchini into thin, round slices.
  13. 13. Thread one prawn and one zucchini slice alternately onto a wooden skewer.
  14. 14. Repeat this until all ingredients are on the skewers.
  15. 15. Brush the skewers with the garlic-oil mixture.
  16. 16. Season the skewers with salt and pepper.
  17. 17. Brush the grill grate with some oil to prevent sticking.
  18. 18. Place the skewers on the hot grill.
  19. 19. Grill the skewers over medium heat.
  20. 20. Grill each side for about five minutes.
  21. 21. Brush the skewers again with garlic oil several times during grilling.
  22. 22. Remove the skewers from the grill when they are cooked.
  23. 23. Serve the skewers with fresh lemon wedges.
