  1. 1. Break the chicken down into 6 to 8 pieces.
  2. 2. Score the surface of the meat pieces about 0.5 centimeters deep with a knife.
  3. 3. Place the chicken pieces in a shallow baking dish.
  4. 4. Season the meat with salt and pepper.
  5. 5. Pour lemon juice over the pieces.
  6. 6. Let the meat marinate for about 30 minutes.
  7. 7. Peel the ginger and the garlic clove.
  8. 8. Grate the ginger finely into a small bowl.
  9. 9. Press the garlic through a garlic press directly into the bowl with the ginger.
  10. 10. Mix the yogurt with all the other spices for the marinade.
  11. 11. Add the ginger-garlic mixture to the yogurt marinade and mix everything well.
  12. 12. Generously coat the chicken pieces with the marinade.
  13. 13. Cover the dish with aluminum foil.
  14. 14. Marinate the poultry for 8 hours or overnight in the refrigerator.
  15. 15. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees.
