🍽️ Juicy Grilled Meat Skewers

Ingredients
- 1 stale roll
- 2 shallots
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 600 g ground beef
- 1 egg
- 0.5 tsp grated lemon zest
- salt
- pepper
- breadcrumbs
Instructions
- 1. Place the bread roll in a small bowl and cover it with some water.
- 2. Peel the shallots and the garlic.
- 3. Dice the shallots and the garlic into very fine cubes.
- 4. Heat the oil in a pan.
- 5. Add the shallots and the garlic to the hot pan.
- 6. Sauté the vegetables until they are soft and translucent.
- 7. Remove the pan from the heat and add the vegetable mixture to a large mixing bowl.
- 8. Add the minced meat to the bowl.
- 9. Add the egg to the bowl.
- 10. Grate the lemon zest and add it to the bowl.
- 11. Squeeze the soaked bread roll well with your hands to remove the water.
- 12. Add the squeezed bread roll to the bowl.
- 13. Season the meat mixture with salt and pepper.
- 14. Knead all ingredients together with your hands until you have a smooth dough.
- 15. Check the consistency of the dough.
- 16. If the dough is too sticky, add some breadcrumbs and knead again.
- 17. Preheat your grill.
- 18. Lightly dampen your hands with water.
- 19. Form small balls from the meat dough.
- 20. Thread four meatballs onto each skewer.
- 21. Place the skewers on the grill.
- 22. Grill the skewers on all sides.
- 23. Grill the skewers for about 10 minutes.
- 24. Remove the skewers from the grill.
- 25. Serve the skewers with a yogurt dip if desired.
