🍽️ Grilled Baby Artichokes

Ingredients
- 12 small artichokes
- lemon juice (for drizzling)
- sea salt
- pepper
- 4 fresh garlic cloves
- 50 ml olive oil
Instructions
- 1. Thoroughly wash the baby artichokes.
- 2. Remove the tough outer leaves until only the tender inner leaves remain.
- 3. Cut off the top part of the artichoke so that just the tip is removed.
- 4. Leave part of the stem attached and peel off the tough outer layer of the stem.
- 5. Halve the prepared artichokes lengthwise through the center.
- 6. Immediately drizzle the cut surfaces with lemon juice to prevent browning.
- 7. Season the artichokes with salt and pepper to taste.
- 8. Preheat the grill or a grill pan.
- 9. Place the artichokes on the hot grill.
- 10. Grill the artichokes from the first side for about two minutes.
- 11. Turn the artichokes and grill the second side for another two minutes.
- 12. Remove the grilled artichokes from the grill and place them on a plate.
- 13. Press the garlic cloves through a garlic press.
- 14. Mix the pressed garlic with the olive oil in a small bowl.
- 15. Pour the garlic oil over the warm artichokes.
- 16. Let the artichokes marinate in the oil for about ten minutes to absorb the flavor.
- 17. Serve the finished artichokes immediately.
