🍽️ Juicy Pork Chops with Herb Filling

Ingredients
- 1 large onion
- 125 g breakfast bacon (smoked)
- 1 tbsp butter
- 0.5 tsp dried marjoram
- salt
- pepper (from the mill)
- 2 tbsp chopped parsley
- 4 pork cutlets
- 2 tbsp oil
- 2 tbsp flour
Instructions
- 1. Peel the onion and cut it into small cubes.
- 2. Cut the bacon into small cubes as well.
- 3. Heat the butter in a frying pan.
- 4. Fry the onion cubes in the hot butter.
- 5. Add the bacon cubes to the pan.
- 6. Rinse the marjoram under running water.
- 7. Pluck the leaves from the marjoram stems.
- 8. Add the marjoram leaves to the pan.
- 9. Fry the mixture briefly.
- 10. Season the filling with salt and pepper.
- 11. Stir the herbs well into the onion and bacon mixture.
- 12. Cut a pocket into each chop using a sharp knife.
- 13. Make sure not to cut all the way through to the other side of the meat.
- 14. Gently pound the chops flat.
- 15. Season the chops on the outside with salt and pepper.
- 16. Fill the pockets in the chops with the onion mixture.
- 17. Secure the openings with wooden toothpicks.
- 18. Place the flour on a flat plate.
- 19. Turn the stuffed chops in the flour.
- 20. Ensure they are lightly coated with flour.
- 21. Heat the oil in a large frying pan.
- 22. Fry the chops until golden brown over medium heat.
- 23. Fry them for 4 to 6 minutes per side.
