🍽️ Hollowed Kohlrabi Stuffed with Sausage Mixture

Ingredients
- 4 Kohlrabi
- 200 g sausage meat
- 2 tbsp finely chopped parsley
- salt
- pepper (from the mill)
- 250 ml meat broth
- 2 tbsp grated Alpine cheese
- 2 tbsp butter
- butter (for the dish)
Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius with top and bottom heat.
- 2. Peel the kohlrabi.
- 3. Cut the bottom ends flat so the kohlrabi stand stably.
- 4. Carefully hollow out the kohlrabi.
- 5. Finely chop the removed kohlrabi flesh.
- 6. Mix the chopped meat with the sausage mince.
- 7. Add 1 tablespoon of parsley.
- 8. Season the mixture with salt and pepper.
- 9. Fill the kohlrabi with the sausage mixture.
- 10. Grease a baking dish with butter.
- 11. Place the stuffed kohlrabi in the dish.
- 12. Pour broth over the kohlrabi.
- 13. Cover the dish with a lid or aluminum foil.
- 14. Simmer the kohlrabi in the oven for approx. 35 minutes.
- 15. Remove the lid or foil after the cooking time.
- 16. Sprinkle cheese over the kohlrabi.
- 17. Place small cubes of butter on top.
- 18. Place the dish back in the oven.
- 19. Gratin the kohlrabi for another 10 minutes until golden brown.
- 20. Sprinkle the finished kohlrabi with the remaining parsley.
- 21. Serve the dish.
