🍽️ Bulgur Pepper Boats

Ingredients
- 100 g Bulgur
- 1 bay leaf
- 2 tsp granulated broth
- 1 tbsp tomato paste
- 1 onion
- 2 garlic cloves
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp whipping cream
- 1 ball Mozzarella (125 g)
- 2 red bell peppers
Instructions
- 1. Rinse the bulgur under cold running water.
- 2. Place the rinsed bulgur in a pot along with one bay leaf and 200 milliliters of water.
- 3. Cook the mixture over low heat for 20 minutes.
- 4. Stir one teaspoon of vegetable broth powder into the bulgur.
- 5. Let the bulgur swell for another 10 minutes.
- 6. Remove the bay leaf from the pot.
- 7. Peel the onions and chop them roughly.
- 8. Peel the garlic clove and press it.
- 9. In a bowl, mix the garlic with oil, cream, the remaining vegetable broth, the chopped onions, and tomato paste.
- 10. Fold this sauce into the cooked bulgur.
- 11. Season the bulgur mixture with salt and pepper.
- 12. Cut the bell peppers in half lengthwise.
- 13. Wash the pepper halves and remove the seeds.
- 14. Lightly salt the inside of the pepper halves.
- 15. Fill the bell peppers with the bulgur mixture.
- 16. Place the stuffed peppers in a baking dish.
- 17. Slice the mozzarella.
- 18. Arrange the mozzarella slices on top of the stuffed bulgur.
- 19. Bake the stuffed bell peppers in the preheated oven for about 30 minutes.
