🍽️ Oven Potatoes with Meat and Quark Filling

Ingredients
- 1.5 kg large mostly waxy potatoes
- 60 g small onions (2 small onions)
- 375 g Mozzarella
- 640 g tomatoes (8 tomatoes)
- 350 g mixed minced meat
- 200 g low-fat quark
- 2 tbsp chopped walnuts
- 3 tbsp tomato paste
- salt
- pepper
- 1 tbsp herbs de Provence
Instructions
- 1. Wash the potatoes thoroughly.
- 2. Place the potatoes in a pot with plenty of water.
- 3. Cover the pot.
- 4. Boil the potatoes for 25 to 30 minutes.
- 5. Peel the onions in the meantime.
- 6. Halve the onions.
- 7. Dice the onions finely.
- 8. Put the onions into a large bowl.
- 9. Drain the mozzarella.
- 10. Dice the mozzarella into small pieces.
- 11. Wash the tomatoes.
- 12. Cut out the stem area of the tomatoes in a conical shape.
- 13. Slice the tomatoes into slices about 1 cm thick.
- 14. Drain the cooked potatoes.
- 15. Rinse the potatoes under cold water.
- 16. Peel the cooled potatoes.
- 17. Halve the potatoes lengthwise.
- 18. Lightly hollow out the potato halves with a teaspoon.
- 19. If necessary, smooth the bottom sides of the potato halves with a knife.
- 20. Ensure that the potato halves can stand.
- 21. Mash the hollowed-out potato mass slightly with a fork.
- 22. Add the minced meat to the bowl with the onions.
- 23. Add the quark to the bowl.
- 24. Add the nuts to the bowl.
- 25. Add the tomato paste to the bowl.
- 26. Season the mixture with salt.
- 27. Season the mixture with pepper.
- 28. Season the mixture with herbs.
- 29. Mix everything well with the dough hooks of a hand mixer.
- 30. Fill the potato halves with the minced meat mixture.
- 31. Place one tomato slice on each filled potato.
- 32. Sprinkle the tomato slices with the mozzarella.
- 33. Line a baking tray with baking paper.
- 34. Place the filled potatoes on the baking tray.
- 35. Preheat the oven to 200 °C.
- 36. Use convection if available (equivalent to 180 °C).
- 37. Use gas level 3 if available.
- 38. Bake the potatoes for about 15 minutes.
- 39. Turn off the oven after 15 minutes.
- 40. Let the potatoes rest in the oven for another 5 minutes.
