🍽️ Chicken Breast Stuffed with Mushrooms and Wrapped in Ham

Ingredients
- 4 chicken breast fillets (approx. 150 g each)
- 250 g mushrooms
- 1 garlic clove
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 tsp freshly chopped rosemary
- salt
- pepper (from the mill)
- olive oil (for brushing)
- 8 slices ham (e.g. Parma ham)
Instructions
- 1. Preheat your oven to 180 degrees Celsius using the top and bottom heat setting.
- 2. Wash the chicken breasts thoroughly and pat them dry with a kitchen towel.
- 3. Cut a pocket into the thickest side of the breast, being careful not to cut all the way through.
- 4. Clean the mushrooms and dice them into fine cubes.
- 5. Peel the garlic and chop it finely.
- 6. Heat some butter in a pan and sauté the mushrooms and garlic in it.
- 7. Stir continuously until the liquid released by the mushrooms has completely evaporated.
- 8. Remove the pan from the heat and stir fresh rosemary leaves into the filling.
- 9. Season the mixture generously with salt and pepper to taste.
- 10. Fill the pockets of the chicken breasts evenly with the mushroom mixture.
- 11. Wrap each stuffed breast tightly with a slice of ham.
- 12. Secure the ham wrap with kitchen twine by tying it firmly.
- 13. Brush a baking tray lightly with oil and place the chicken breasts on it.
- 14. Brush or drizzle the surface of the breasts with a little more oil.
- 15. Place the tray in the oven and roast the breasts for 20 to 25 minutes until golden brown.
