🍽️ Sweet Rice Packets in Banana Leaves

Ingredients
- 100 g black rice
- 100 g basmati rice
- salt
- 1 cooking banana
- 3 banana leaves
Instructions
- 1. Rinse both types of rice thoroughly under running water.
- 2. Place the rice in a pot and cover it with about 600 milliliters of water.
- 3. Salt the water and cook the rice for approx. 20 minutes until tender.
- 4. Add a little more water if it evaporates too quickly, or drain it once the rice is done.
- 5. Peel the banana and cut it into small pieces.
- 6. Save a few banana pieces for decoration and stir the rest into the warm rice.
- 7. Cut the banana leaves into rectangles of approx. 12 x 15 centimeters.
- 8. Place a portion of the rice filling onto each leaf.
- 9. Fold the leaves into small packets and make about 8 to 12 packets.
- 10. Tie the packets securely with twine or kitchen string.
- 11. Steam the packets for 10 to 15 minutes in a steamer.
- 12. Serve the rice packets with a coconut sauce to your liking.
