  5. 5. Stop when the millet smells aromatic.
  6. 6. Take the millet out of the pan.
  7. 7. Let the millet cool down.
  8. 8. Pit the dates.
  9. 9. Cut the dates into fine cubes.
  10. 10. Put the cooled millet into a pot.
  11. 11. Add the date cubes to the same pot.
  12. 12. Pour the vegetable broth into the pot.
  13. 13. Bring the mixture to a boil.
  14. 14. Cover the pot.
  15. 15. Turn the heat to low.
  16. 16. Cook the millet for 5 minutes.
  17. 17. Stir the millet occasionally.
  18. 18. Take the pot off the stove.
  19. 19. Let the millet swell covered.
  20. 20. Wait another 10 minutes.
  21. 21. Season the millet with salt.
  22. 22. Season the millet with pepper.
  23. 23. Serve the millet.
