Ingredients
- 300 g millet
- 85 g dates
- 600 ml Mediterranean vegetable broth
- salt
- pepper
Instructions
- 1. Put the millet into a large pan.
- 2. Heat the pan on medium heat.
- 3. Stir the millet constantly.
- 4. Roast the millet for a few minutes.
- 5. Stop when the millet smells aromatic.
- 6. Take the millet out of the pan.
- 7. Let the millet cool down.
- 8. Pit the dates.
- 9. Cut the dates into fine cubes.
- 10. Put the cooled millet into a pot.
- 11. Add the date cubes to the same pot.
- 12. Pour the vegetable broth into the pot.
- 13. Bring the mixture to a boil.
- 14. Cover the pot.
- 15. Turn the heat to low.
- 16. Cook the millet for 5 minutes.
- 17. Stir the millet occasionally.
- 18. Take the pot off the stove.
- 19. Let the millet swell covered.
- 20. Wait another 10 minutes.
- 21. Season the millet with salt.
- 22. Season the millet with pepper.
- 23. Serve the millet.
