🍽️ Aromatic Steamed Salmon with Herb Marinade

Ingredients
- 1 stalk lemongrass
- 10 g ginger (1 piece)
- 1 red chili pepper
- 1 spring onion
- 0.5 lime
- 6 sprigs cilantro
- 1 tbsp sweet chili sauce
- 2 tbsp Thai fish sauce
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 600 g salmon fillet (4 salmon fillets)
Instructions
- 1. Remove the tough, outer leaves from the lemongrass.
- 2. Wash the lemongrass and pat it dry.
- 3. Finely chop the lemongrass.
- 4. Peel the ginger.
- 5. Grate the ginger finely.
- 6. Halve the chili pepper lengthwise.
- 7. Remove the seeds from the chili pepper.
- 8. Wash the chili pepper.
- 9. Finely chop the chili pepper.
- 10. Clean the spring onions.
- 11. Wash the spring onions.
- 12. Finely chop the spring onions.
- 13. Place the spring onions in a small bowl.
- 14. Squeeze the lime half.
- 15. Wash the coriander.
- 16. Shake the coriander dry.
- 17. Finely chop the coriander.
- 18. Take half of the chopped coriander.
- 19. Add this half to the spring onions.
- 20. Mix the coriander and spring onions.
- 21. Set the mixture aside.
- 22. Take the remaining coriander.
- 23. Place the remaining coriander in a large bowl.
- 24. Add the grated ginger to the large bowl.
- 25. Add the chopped chili to the large bowl.
- 26. Add the chopped lemongrass to the large bowl.
- 27. Add 1-2 tablespoons of lime juice to the large bowl.
- 28. Add chili sauce to the large bowl.
- 29. Add fish sauce to the large bowl.
- 30. Add sesame oil to the large bowl.
- 31. Mix all ingredients in the large bowl.
- 32. Rinse the salmon fillets.
- 33. Pat the salmon fillets dry.
- 34. Place the salmon fillets in the chili marinade.
- 35. Cover the bowl.
- 36. Place the bowl in the refrigerator.
- 37. Let the salmon fillets marinate for at least 1 hour.
- 38. Remove the salmon fillets from the marinade.
- 39. Let the salmon fillets drain well.
- 40. Place the salmon fillets in a steamer insert.
- 41. Place the steamer insert over boiling water.
- 42. Place the pot on the stove.
- 43. Cover the pot.
- 44. Steam the salmon for 8-10 minutes.
- 45. Remove the salmon from the pot.
- 46. Sprinkle the salmon with the coriander-onion mixture.
- 47. Serve the salmon.
