  2. 2. Pat the fish completely dry with a kitchen towel.
  3. 3. Season the salmon evenly with salt and pepper.
  4. 4. Drizzle the lime juice over the fish.
  5. 5. Clean the spring onions and remove the dry ends.
  6. 6. Wash the spring onions thoroughly.
  7. 7. Cut the spring onions into thin strips about five centimeters long.
  8. 8. Peel the garlic cloves.
  9. 9. Dice the garlic very finely.
  10. 10. Heat the oil in a frying pan.
  11. 11. Slowly fry the garlic over medium heat while stirring constantly.
  12. 12. Remove the pan from the heat immediately once the garlic changes color.
  13. 13. Fold the cut spring onions into the warm garlic oil.
  14. 14. Place the salmon fillet into a steamer insert.
  15. 15. Bring water to a boil in a matching pot.
  16. 16. Place the steamer insert with the fish into the pot.
  17. 17. Cover the pot with a lid.
  18. 18. Steam the salmon for about seven minutes until cooked through.
  19. 19. Remove the salmon from the steamer.
  20. 20. Plate the fish.
  21. 21. Distribute the garlic oil along with the spring onions evenly over the salmon.
