🍽️ Indian Fried Flatbreads (Chapatis)

Ingredients
- 200 g wheat
- 200 g wheat flour
- 2 tsp sea salt
- 2 tbsp sunflower oil
- flour (for the work surface)
Instructions
- 1. Grind the wheat very finely.
- 2. Mix the finely ground wheat flour in a bowl with the white flour and the salt.
- 3. Make a well in the center of the flour mixture.
- 4. Pour approx. 300 ml of lukewarm water into the well, spoonful by spoonful.
- 5. Knead the water into the flour until a pliable dough forms.
- 6. Knead the oil into the dough.
- 7. Cover the bowl.
- 8. Let the dough rest in a warm place for approx. 40 minutes.
- 9. Form 12 to 15 equal-sized balls from the dough.
- 10. Flour your work surface.
- 11. Roll out the dough balls into flatbreads approx. 16 to 18 cm in diameter.
- 12. Heat a large frying pan.
- 13. Cook the flatbreads in the hot pan without any fat.
- 14. Fry each flatbread for approx. 1 to 2 minutes per side.
