  1. 1. Peel the lower third of the asparagus, if necessary.
  2. 2. Cut off the tough ends of the asparagus.
  3. 3. Bring water with salt to a boil.
  4. 4. Cook the asparagus in it for about 12 minutes.
  5. 5. Remove the asparagus from the water.
  6. 6. Let the water drain off.
  7. 7. Pat the asparagus dry with a cloth.
  8. 8. Wrap a slice of bacon around one asparagus spear.
  9. 9. Fry the wrapped spears in batches, all around, in a pan.
  10. 10. Keep the finished asparagus warm in the oven at 70 degrees.
