🍽️ Crispy Quinoa with Toasted Almonds

Ingredients
- 75 g Quinoa
- 40 g chopped almond kernels (4 tbsp)
- salt
- 2.5 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp mild curry powder
- pepper
Instructions
- 1. Place the quinoa in a sieve.
- 2. Rinse it under cold water.
- 3. Repeat the rinsing until the running water is clear.
- 4. Let the quinoa drain well.
- 5. Bring 225 milliliters of water to a boil in a pot.
- 6. Add the drained quinoa to the boiling water.
- 7. Cover the pot.
- 8. Cook the quinoa on low heat for about 12 minutes.
- 9. Remove the pot from the heat.
- 10. Let the quinoa steam covered for another 10 minutes.
- 11. Place the chopped almonds in a non-stick frying pan.
- 12. Toast the almonds without adding extra fat.
- 13. Fry them until they are light brown.
- 14. Remove the almonds from the pan.
- 15. Let the almonds cool on a plate.
- 16. Lightly salt the quinoa.
- 17. Drizzle the quinoa with half a tablespoon of olive oil.
- 18. Add the remaining oil to the pan.
- 19. Heat the oil in the pan.
- 20. Add the quinoa to the hot pan.
- 21. Fry the quinoa over medium heat.
- 22. Stir the quinoa constantly.
- 23. Fry it for 8 to 9 minutes.
- 24. Fry the quinoa until it is crispy and brown.
- 25. Add the curry powder to the pan.
- 26. Add the cooled almonds to the pan.
- 27. Stir everything well.
- 28. Fry the mixture for another 1 minute.
- 29. Season the dish with salt and pepper.
- 30. Serve the quinoa immediately.
