  1. 1. Cut the pumpkin into wedges.
  2. 2. Peel the onion and the apple.
  3. 3. Dice the onion and the apple finely.
  4. 4. Pluck the thyme leaves from the stems.
  5. 5. Wash the cranberries.
  6. 6. Mix the cranberries with the apple cubes, thyme leaves, pear syrup, and orange juice.
  7. 7. Heat 1 teaspoon of oil in a pan.
  8. 8. Fry the onion cubes in the hot oil.
  9. 9. Add the cranberry mixture to the onion.
  10. 10. Simmer the mixture for approx. 3 minutes.
  11. 11. Season the mixture with salt and pepper.
  12. 12. Let the cranberry mixture cool down.
  13. 13. Heat the remaining oil in a pan.
  14. 14. Fry the pumpkin wedges in the hot oil.
  15. 15. Deglaze the pumpkin with broth.
  16. 16. Simmer the pumpkin covered for 10 minutes.
  17. 17. Taste the pumpkin and adjust seasoning.
  18. 18. Serve the pumpkin with the cranberry relish.
