🍽️ Pan-fried Cod with Spinach

Ingredients
- 4 cod fillets (approx. 160 g each)
- salt
- pepper (from the mill)
- 2 tbsp flour
- 4 tbsp olive oil
- 600 g spinach
- 2 garlic cloves
- nutmeg
Instructions
- 1. Rinse the cod fillets under running water.
- 2. Pat the fillets completely dry with a kitchen towel.
- 3. Season the fillets on both sides with salt and pepper.
- 4. Coat the fillets briefly in flour until they are lightly covered.
- 5. Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a large frying pan.
- 6. Fry the cod fillets slowly until golden brown on each side.
- 7. Let the fillets fry for about 3 to 4 minutes per side.
- 8. Remove the cooked fillets from the pan and keep them warm.
- 9. Wash the fresh spinach thoroughly under cold water.
- 10. Remove any thick stems and tough parts from the spinach.
- 11. Let the washed spinach drain well.
- 12. Crush the garlic cloves using the flat side of a knife.
- 13. Heat the remaining oil in the same pan.
- 14. Sauté the crushed garlic briefly in the hot oil.
- 15. Add the drained spinach to the pan.
- 16. Let the spinach wilt until it is soft.
- 17. Season the spinach finally with salt and a pinch of nutmeg.
- 18. Serve the seasoned spinach together with the fried cod.
