  1. 1. Squeeze half of the lime juice over the cod fillets.
  2. 2. Season the fish generously with salt and pepper.
  3. 3. Wash the zucchini thoroughly.
  4. 4. Remove the tough ends of the zucchini.
  5. 5. Cut the zucchini into very small cubes.
  6. 6. Wash the parsley.
  7. 7. Shake the parsley dry.
  8. 8. Finely chop the parsley leaves.
  9. 9. Wash the chili peppers.
  10. 10. Remove the tough stems of the chili peppers.
  11. 11. Cut the chili peppers in half lengthwise.
  12. 12. Remove the inside of the chili peppers, including all white membranes and seeds.
  13. 13. Cut the deseeded chili peppers into thin strips.
  14. 14. Heat three tablespoons of oil in a frying pan.
  15. 15. Add the diced zucchini to the hot pan.
  16. 16. Add the chili strips to the pan.
  17. 17. Sauté the vegetables for two to three minutes.
  18. 18. Add the chopped parsley to the vegetables.
  19. 19. Add the remaining lime juice.
  20. 20. Cook the vegetables for another two minutes.
  21. 21. Season the zucchini mixture with salt and pepper.
  22. 22. Heat the remaining oil in a clean frying pan.
  23. 23. Place the cod fillets in the hot pan.
  24. 24. Fry the fillets on the first side for about three minutes.
  25. 25. Turn the fillets and fry them on the other side for another three minutes.
  26. 26. Deglaze the pan with balsamic vinegar.
  27. 27. Serve the fish on plates.
  28. 28. Add the spicy zucchini mixture as a side dish.
