  3. 3. Slice the tomato into four pieces, each about 1 centimeter thick.
  4. 4. Rinse the lemon under hot water.
  5. 5. Dry the lemon with a cloth.
  6. 6. Grate the lemon peel finely.
  7. 7. Squeeze the juice from the lemon.
  8. 8. Rinse the chives briefly under running water.
  9. 9. Cut the chives into very fine rings.
  10. 10. Mix the cream cheese with the lemon juice.
  11. 11. Fold the fine chive rings into the cream cheese mixture.
  12. 12. Season the cream cheese mixture with salt and pepper.
  13. 13. Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a pan.
  14. 14. Fry the tomato slices from the first side for about 1 minute.
  15. 15. Fry the tomato slices from the second side for another 1 minute.
  16. 16. Remove the tomato slices from the pan.
  17. 17. Let the tomato slices cool down briefly.
  18. 18. Distribute the tomato slices onto four small plates.
  19. 19. Lightly salt the tomato slices.
  20. 20. Lightly pepper the tomato slices.
  21. 21. Take small portions of the cream cheese mixture with two small spoons.
  22. 22. Place two portions of cream cheese on each tomato slice.
  23. 23. Sprinkle some lemon zest over the cream cheese portions.
  24. 24. Drizzle the remaining oil over the arranged tomatoes.
  25. 25. Drizzle the balsamic vinegar over the arranged tomatoes.
  26. 26. Garnish the dishes with fresh basil leaves.
  27. 27. Garnish the dishes with edible flowers.
  28. 28. Serve the fried tomato slices.
