🍽️ Crispy Tofu Triangles with Sesame and Spring Onions

Ingredients
- 600 g Tofu
- 4 tbsp Soy sauce
- 2 tbsp Fish sauce
- 2 Spring onions
- 2 tbsp Sesame
- 1 tbsp Peanut oil
- 2 tbsp Sesame oil
- Cornstarch
- Cayenne pepper
Instructions
- 1. Cut the tofu into triangular pieces.
- 2. Drizzle the tofu pieces with soy sauce and fish sauce.
- 3. Cover the bowl and let the marinade soak in for about 2 hours.
- 4. Then let the tofu drain well.
- 5. Catch the drained marinade in a small container.
- 6. Wash the spring onions thoroughly.
- 7. Shake the spring onions dry.
- 8. Split the spring onions in half lengthwise.
- 9. Cut the spring onions into thin strips.
- 10. Put the sesame seeds into a non-stick pan.
- 11. Toast the sesame seeds without adding extra fat.
- 12. Heat both oils in a large pan.
- 13. Fry the tofu on each side for about 4 to 5 minutes until golden brown.
- 14. Remove the fried tofu from the pan.
- 15. Distribute the tofu onto four plates.
- 16. Keep the tofu warm.
- 17. Pour the saved marinade into the hot pan.
- 18. Mix 3 to 4 tablespoons of water with the marinade in the pan.
- 19. Let the sauce heat up in the pan.
- 20. Stir the cornstarch smoothly into a little cold water.
- 21. Add the starch solution to the hot sauce.
- 22. Thicken the sauce slightly with it.
- 23. Season the sauce with cayenne pepper.
- 24. Drizzle the finished sauce over the tofu triangles.
- 25. Garnish the dish with the cut spring onions.
- 26. Sprinkle the toasted sesame seeds over it.
- 27. Serve the dish immediately.
