🍽️ Crispy Sesame Kohlrabi Sticks

Ingredients
- 1 kg Kohlrabi
- salt
- 2 egg whites
- 150 g sesame seeds
- 100 ml sunflower oil
Instructions
- 1. Peel the kohlrabi and cut it into sticks about 1 cm thick.
- 2. Boil the sticks in salted water for 6 to 8 minutes until they still have a slight bite.
- 3. Drain the vegetables, let them drain well, and place them on kitchen paper.
- 4. Whisk the egg whites in a shallow bowl.
- 5. Spread the sesame seeds onto a plate.
- 6. Preheat the oven to 80 degrees fan-forced.
- 7. Dip a portion of kohlrabi sticks into the egg whites first.
- 8. Then roll the sticks around in the sesame seeds.
- 9. Fry the breaded sticks in a pan with plenty of oil for 3 to 4 minutes until golden brown on all sides.
- 10. Remove the finished sticks, let them drain on kitchen paper, and keep them warm in the oven.
- 11. Repeat the process with the remaining kohlrabi sticks.
- 12. Serve the sticks with a dip made from yogurt, quark, or soured milk.
