🍽️ Crispy Fried Green Herrings

Ingredients
- 4 green herrings (ready for cooking)
- salt
- pepper (from the mill)
- 5 tbsp flour
- 2 tbsp oil
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 handful parsley
- 1 lemon (for garnish)
Instructions
- 1. Thoroughly wash the green herrings inside and out.
- 2. Pat the fish dry with a kitchen towel.
- 3. Season the herrings with salt and pepper.
- 4. Coat the fish in flour until they are completely covered.
- 5. Shake off any excess flour from the fish.
- 6. Heat oil and butter in a large frying pan.
- 7. Fry the herrings for about 8 minutes until crispy.
- 8. Turn the fish regularly while frying.
- 9. Wash the parsley under running water.
- 10. Shake the parsley dry.
- 11. Finely chop the parsley.
- 12. Plate the finished herrings.
- 13. Garnish the fish with the chopped parsley.
- 14. Add lemon wedges as decoration.
