🍽️ Crispy Baguette Slices with Chutney

Ingredients
- 1 Baguette
- 3 Eggs
- 200 ml Milk
- 1 Packet Saffron
- 1 tbsp Ghee
- 250 g Tomato Chutney (Ready-made product)
- 8 Kumquats
- 150 g Sour Cream
Instructions
- 1. Slice the baguette diagonally.
- 2. Place the slices on a baking sheet.
- 3. Preheat the oven to 120 degrees Celsius.
- 4. Dry the bread in the oven for about 30 minutes.
- 5. Whisk the eggs with the milk and saffron.
- 6. Drizzle the egg mixture over the baguette slices.
- 7. Let the liquid soak in briefly.
- 8. Drain the bread on a rack if necessary.
- 9. Heat the butter in a pan.
- 10. Fry the slices in the hot butter until golden yellow.
- 11. Fry each side evenly.
- 12. Dab the finished bread with chutney.
- 13. Dab the bread additionally with crème fraîche.
- 14. Slice the kumquats into thin slices.
- 15. Remove the seeds from the kumquat slices.
- 16. Decorate the bread with the kumquats.
- 17. Serve the dishes immediately.
