  2. 2. Lightly grease a baking dish with oil.
  3. 3. Wash the apples thoroughly.
  4. 4. Cut the apples in half through the center.
  5. 5. Remove the core from the apple halves.
  6. 6. Wash the poultry liver.
  7. 7. Pat the liver dry with a kitchen towel.
  8. 8. Finely chop the liver.
  9. 9. Chop the walnuts coarsely.
  10. 10. Peel the shallot.
  11. 11. Finely chop the shallot.
  12. 12. Heat oil in a frying pan.
  13. 13. Sauté the shallot in the hot oil until translucent.
  14. 14. Add the marjoram to the shallot.
  15. 15. Add the egg yolk to the mixture.
  16. 16. Add the breadcrumbs to the mixture.
  17. 17. Mix the shallot mixture with the chopped liver.
  18. 18. Season the liver mixture with salt.
  19. 19. Season the liver mixture with pepper.
  20. 20. Fill the liver mixture into the apple halves.
  21. 21. Place the stuffed apples into the prepared baking dish.
  22. 22. Bake the apples in the oven for about 25 minutes.
  23. 23. Check if the apples are baked golden brown.
  24. 24. Garnish the finished apples with cranberries as desired.
