  1. 1. Cut the slice of bread in half so that you get two pieces.
  2. 2. Place the bread halves in a hot oven preheated to 220 degrees Celsius.
  3. 3. Toast the bread in the oven until it is golden brown and crispy.
  4. 4. Cut the cheese into small, even cubes.
  5. 5. Peel the onion and cut it in half lengthwise.
  6. 6. Cut the onion halves into thin wedges lengthwise as well.
  7. 7. Take the toasted bread out of the oven.
  8. 8. Distribute the sliced turkey evenly over the bread halves.
  9. 9. Place the cut onions and cheese cubes on top of the meat.
  10. 10. Place the topped bread slices back into the preheated oven at 220 degrees Celsius.
  11. 11. Bake the bread for a few minutes until the cheese melts and starts to get light brown spots.
  12. 12. Take the finished bread out of the oven.
  13. 13. Sprinkle the capers evenly over the hot bread.
  14. 14. Serve the dish immediately while it is still warm.
