  1. 1. Cut the tofu into strips that are finger-width and about 1.25 cm thick. Place the pieces in a bowl that can be sealed tightly.
  2. 2. Add hemp seeds, cornstarch, nutritional yeast, garlic powder, onion powder, and herbs to the bowl. Seal it and shake gently until all tofu pieces are evenly coated with the mixture.
  3. 3. Now add the oil. Seal the bowl again and shake it vigorously until every tofu piece is coated with oil all around.
  4. 4. Place the tofu pieces side by side on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake them in a preheated oven at 220 degrees Celsius conventional heat (or 200 degrees Celsius fan-forced, or gas mark 3–4) for 10 minutes. Then turn the pieces and bake for another 10 minutes. Let the tofu cool down briefly before serving.
