  1. 1. Rinse the Chinese cabbage under running water.
  2. 2. Cut the head lengthwise into four equal wedges.
  3. 3. Pat the cabbage pieces dry with a kitchen towel.
  4. 4. Grate the Parmesan cheese finely.
  5. 5. Stir the cooking cream and sour cream together in an ovenproof dish.
  6. 6. Stir the grated Parmesan into the cream mixture.
  7. 7. Season the sauce with salt and pepper to taste.
  8. 8. Place the Chinese cabbage wedges in the dish with the cut side facing up.
  9. 9. Sprinkle the cabbage with salt, pepper, and chili powder.
  10. 10. Drizzle the wedges with some oil.
  11. 11. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius conventional heat.
  12. 12. Bake the cabbage in the oven for 20 to 25 minutes.
  13. 13. Peel the red onion while the cabbage is baking.
  14. 14. Cut the onion into very small cubes.
  15. 15. Remove the Chinese cabbage from the oven after baking.
  16. 16. Arrange the wedges on a platter or plates.
  17. 17. Drizzle some of the sauce from the dish over the cabbage.
  18. 18. Sprinkle the dish lightly with pepper and chili powder again.
  19. 19. Scatter the red onion cubes over the top.
  20. 20. Garnish the dish with edible flowers if desired.
