🍽️ Baked Chinese Cabbage with Parmesan Cream

Ingredients
- 800 g Chinese cabbage
- 30 g Parmesan (30% fat in dry matter)
- 200 g cooking cream
- 200 g sour cream (20% fat)
- salt
- pepper
- chili powder
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 0.5 red onion
- 1 handful edible flowers (optional for garnish)
Instructions
- 1. Rinse the Chinese cabbage under running water.
- 2. Cut the head lengthwise into four equal wedges.
- 3. Pat the cabbage pieces dry with a kitchen towel.
- 4. Grate the Parmesan cheese finely.
- 5. Stir the cooking cream and sour cream together in an ovenproof dish.
- 6. Stir the grated Parmesan into the cream mixture.
- 7. Season the sauce with salt and pepper to taste.
- 8. Place the Chinese cabbage wedges in the dish with the cut side facing up.
- 9. Sprinkle the cabbage with salt, pepper, and chili powder.
- 10. Drizzle the wedges with some oil.
- 11. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius conventional heat.
- 12. Bake the cabbage in the oven for 20 to 25 minutes.
- 13. Peel the red onion while the cabbage is baking.
- 14. Cut the onion into very small cubes.
- 15. Remove the Chinese cabbage from the oven after baking.
- 16. Arrange the wedges on a platter or plates.
- 17. Drizzle some of the sauce from the dish over the cabbage.
- 18. Sprinkle the dish lightly with pepper and chili powder again.
- 19. Scatter the red onion cubes over the top.
- 20. Garnish the dish with edible flowers if desired.
