🍰 Oven-Baked Quinces with Nuts

Ingredients
- 4 quince
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 20 g butter
- 8 tbsp grape juice
- 3 tbsp currant jam
- 100 g coarsely chopped pistachios
Instructions
- 1. Peel the quinces.
- 2. Cut the quinces in half.
- 3. Remove the core.
- 4. Add lemon juice to 1.5 liters of water.
- 5. Bring the water to a boil.
- 6. Add the quinces to the boiling water for 1 minute.
- 7. Remove the quinces from the water.
- 8. Let the quinces drain.
- 9. Grease a heatproof bowl with butter.
- 10. Slice four quince halves into thin slices.
- 11. Place the slices in the bowl.
- 12. Arrange the remaining four quince halves over the slices.
- 13. Brush the quinces with grape juice.
- 14. Brush the quinces with currant jam.
- 15. Preheat the oven to 200 °C.
- 16. Place the bowl in the oven.
- 17. Bake the quinces for about 15 minutes.
- 18. Chop the pistachios.
- 19. Sprinkle the pistachios over the quinces.
- 20. Bake the quinces for another 6 to 8 minutes.
- 21. Serve the quinces warm.
