🍽️ Crispy Baked Seafood

Ingredients
- 600 g fresh seafood ready for cooking (e.g. red mullet, sardines)
- 400 g mixed seafood ready for cooking, cleaned and peeled (e.g. squid, shrimp)
- Vegetable oil (for frying)
- Salt
- Pepper (from the mill)
- 100 g flour for dredging (preferably semolina flour)
- Lemon slice
Instructions
- 1. Rinse the fish and seafood under cold water.
- 2. Pat the pieces completely dry with kitchen paper.
- 3. Pour the oil into a large pot and heat it up.
- 4. Check the oil temperature by holding the end of a wooden spoon handle into it.
- 5. The oil is ready when small bubbles rise around the spoon handle.
- 6. Season the fish and seafood generously with salt and pepper.
- 7. Coat the pieces in the flour until they are completely covered.
- 8. Shake off any excess flour from the pieces.
- 9. Fry the larger fish pieces in batches in the hot oil until golden brown.
- 10. Let the larger fish fry for about five to six minutes.
- 11. Fry the smaller fish pieces for about four to five minutes.
- 12. Fry the seafood for about two to three minutes.
- 13. Remove the finished pieces from the oil and place them on kitchen paper.
- 14. Let the oil drain from the pieces.
- 15. Keep the dishes warm in the oven if necessary until you serve them.
- 16. Garnish the dish with fresh lemon slices.
- 17. Serve the baked seafood immediately.
