🍽️ Baked Apples Stuffed with Blue Cheese

Ingredients
- 10 smaller apples (e.g. Golden Delicious)
- 1 tbsp honey
- 3 tbsp lemon juice
- 200 g blue cheese (e.g. Gorgonzola)
- 50 g chopped walnuts
- 2 tbsp freshly chopped rosemary
- pepper (from the mill)
Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius with fan setting.
- 2. Wash the apples thoroughly.
- 3. Cut the apples in half through the middle.
- 4. Remove the core using a spoon or a corer.
- 5. Place the apple halves cut-side up on a wire rack.
- 6. Mix the honey with the lemon juice in a small bowl.
- 7. Brush the cut surfaces of the apples with the honey-lemon mixture.
- 8. Crumble the blue cheese into small pieces.
- 9. Distribute the cheese evenly over the apple halves.
- 10. Sprinkle the nuts and rosemary over the top.
- 11. Season everything with a pinch of pepper.
- 12. Brush the remaining honey-lemon mixture over the filling.
- 13. Place the tray in the oven and bake the apples for about 25 minutes until golden brown.
