🍰 Crispy Gazelle Horns with Orange Filling

Ingredients
- 200 g Butter (melted)
- 500 g Flour
- Salt
- 3 Eggs (separated)
- 2 tbsp Orange blossom water
- 2 tbsp Orange blossom water
- Baking paper
- 1 Orange (organic)
- 500 g Almond kernels (ground)
- 200 g Powdered sugar
- 1 Egg
- 1 tsp Cinnamon
Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 170 degrees Celsius with fan setting.
- 2. Line two baking sheets with baking paper.
- 3. Wash the orange thoroughly and dry it.
- 4. Finely grate the orange peel and squeeze the juice from half an orange.
- 5. Mix the orange zest, almonds, powdered sugar, and orange juice in a bowl.
- 6. Knead the egg and cinnamon into the almond mixture.
- 7. Shape the filling into a long roll and divide it into 50 equal pieces.
- 8. Shape the individual filling pieces into rolls about 4 centimeters long.
- 9. Mix the melted butter with the flour, salt, 2 egg yolks, orange blossom water, and 60 milliliters of water.
- 10. Knead the ingredients into a smooth dough.
- 11. Wrap the dough in cling film and let it rest.
- 12. Dust the finished gazelle horns with powdered sugar.
- 13. Serve the horns hot or cold.
