🍽️ Cocktail Shrimp Toast

Ingredients
- 120 g Mayonnaise
- 2 tbsp Ketchup
- 10 ml Cognac
- 1 tsp Horseradish (jar)
- Lemon juice
- Worcestershire sauce
- Salt
- Cayenne pepper
- 500 g cooked shrimp (ready to cook)
- 4 Tomatoes
- 8 slices Multigrain bread
- 4 Lettuce leaves (e.g. iceberg lettuce)
- 8 slices Breakfast bacon
- 1 tbsp Rapeseed oil
Instructions
- 1. Stir mayonnaise, ketchup, cognac, and horseradish (spicy horseradish root) in a bowl until smooth.
- 2. Season the sauce with lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and cayenne pepper to taste.
- 3. Toss the shrimp evenly with the prepared cocktail sauce.
- 4. Wash the tomatoes thoroughly and remove the hard stem area.
- 5. Slice the tomatoes into even rounds.
- 6. Place the tomato slices on four slices of bread.
- 7. Distribute the marinated shrimp evenly over the tomato slices.
- 8. Wash the salad greens and shake them dry to remove excess water.
- 9. Place a fresh lettuce leaf on each sandwich.
- 10. Heat oil in a pan and fry the bacon until crispy.
- 11. Place two strips of fried bacon on each sandwich.
- 12. Top the sandwiches with the remaining bread slices.
- 13. Serve the sandwiches immediately.
