🍽️ Crispy Shrimp on Creamy Kale

Ingredients
- 800 g kale
- 2 red onions
- 2 garlic cloves
- 2 tbsp peanut oil
- 200 ml vegetable broth
- 16 large shrimp (kitchen-ready, headless and shell-on, deveined)
- 0.5 organic orange (zest)
- 4 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp lime juice
- 1 tsp honey
- chili flakes
- 25 g sesame seeds (2 tbsp)
Instructions
- 1. Remove the tough stems from the kale.
- 2. Wash the kale leaves thoroughly.
- 3. Chop the kale leaves into coarse pieces.
- 4. Peel the onions.
- 5. Peel the garlic clove.
- 6. Cut the onions in half.
- 7. Slice the onions into thin strips.
- 8. Finely chop the garlic.
- 9. Heat one tablespoon of oil in a pan.
- 10. Fry the onions and garlic for three minutes over medium heat.
- 11. Add the chopped kale to the pan.
- 12. Cook the vegetables for another four minutes.
- 13. Pour the broth into the pan.
- 14. Let the mixture simmer for five minutes over medium heat.
- 15. Rinse the shrimp under running water.
- 16. Pat the shrimp dry with a kitchen towel.
- 17. Heat the remaining oil in a separate pan.
- 18. Fry the shrimp for two minutes over high heat until golden brown.
- 19. Mix the cooked shrimp with the orange zest into the kale.
- 20. Season the mixture with soy sauce to taste.
- 21. Season the mixture with lime juice to taste.
- 22. Season the mixture with honey to taste.
- 23. Season the mixture with chili flakes to taste.
- 24. Divide the dish into small bowls.
- 25. Sprinkle the bowls with sesame seeds before serving.
