  2. 2. Use a large melon baller to scoop out about 16 balls from the melon.
  3. 3. Rinse the shrimp under cold water.
  4. 4. Pat the shrimp dry with a kitchen towel.
  5. 5. Thread one melon ball and one shrimp alternately onto the wooden skewers.
  6. 6. Rinse the rosemary under cold water.
  7. 7. Pat the rosemary dry.
  8. 8. Strip the rosemary needles from the stems.
  9. 9. Finely chop the rosemary needles.
  10. 10. Mix the chopped rosemary with the fennel, lemon juice, honey, oil, salt, and pepper in a small bowl.
  11. 11. Brush the skewers with the marinade.
  12. 12. Grill the skewers for about 8 minutes, turning them regularly, until golden brown.
  13. 13. Brush the skewers with the remaining marinade repeatedly while grilling.
  14. 14. Arrange the skewers on small plates.
  15. 15. Drizzle the remaining marinade over the skewers.
  16. 16. Garnish the skewers with fresh basil.
  17. 17. Serve the skewers immediately.
