🍽️ Shrimp and Melon Skewers

Ingredients
- 0.5 Galia melon
- 0.5 Charentais melon
- 16 large shrimp
- 2 sprigs rosemary
- 1 tsp fennel seeds (ground)
- 1 lemon (juice)
- 1 tbsp liquid honey
- 4 tbsp olive oil
- salt
- pepper (from the mill)
- basil (for garnish)
Instructions
- 1. Remove the seeds from the melons.
- 2. Use a large melon baller to scoop out about 16 balls from the melon.
- 3. Rinse the shrimp under cold water.
- 4. Pat the shrimp dry with a kitchen towel.
- 5. Thread one melon ball and one shrimp alternately onto the wooden skewers.
- 6. Rinse the rosemary under cold water.
- 7. Pat the rosemary dry.
- 8. Strip the rosemary needles from the stems.
- 9. Finely chop the rosemary needles.
- 10. Mix the chopped rosemary with the fennel, lemon juice, honey, oil, salt, and pepper in a small bowl.
- 11. Brush the skewers with the marinade.
- 12. Grill the skewers for about 8 minutes, turning them regularly, until golden brown.
- 13. Brush the skewers with the remaining marinade repeatedly while grilling.
- 14. Arrange the skewers on small plates.
- 15. Drizzle the remaining marinade over the skewers.
- 16. Garnish the skewers with fresh basil.
- 17. Serve the skewers immediately.
