  1. 1. Rinse the shrimp thoroughly and then pat them dry with a kitchen towel.
  2. 2. Peel the onion and the garlic clove and cut both into fine cubes.
  3. 3. Wash the chili pepper and chop it finely.
  4. 4. Heat two tablespoons of oil in a pan and sweat the onion cubes in it.
  5. 5. Add the chopped chili and garlic to the pan and sweat them briefly.
  6. 6. Stir in the peanut butter and let it caramelize slightly for a short time.
  7. 7. Deglaze the pan with the broth and add the paprika powder.
  8. 8. Let the sauce simmer for about ten minutes until it becomes creamy.
  9. 9. Stir the crème fraîche into the sauce.
  10. 10. Finally, season the sauce to taste with salt, lemon juice, and pepper.
  11. 11. Drizzle the remaining oil over the shrimp.
  12. 12. Salt and pepper the shrimp and sprinkle fresh thyme over them.
  13. 13. Grill the shrimp on a preheated grill for three to four minutes.
  14. 14. Place the grilled shrimp into a bowl.
  15. 15. Pour the prepared sauce over the shrimp.
  16. 16. Serve the dish with white bread as desired.
