🍽️ Garlic Prawns with Chili and Zucchini

Ingredients
- 16 large shrimp
- 4 tbsp flour
- 1 chili pepper
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1 lemon
- 1 sprig of rosemary
- 4 sprigs of thyme
- 6 tbsp olive oil
- 2 zucchini
- salt
- pepper (from the mill)
Instructions
- 1. Peel the prawns, but leave the last tail segment attached.
- 2. Remove the dark vein running along the back of the prawns.
- 3. Rinse the prawns thoroughly under cold water.
- 4. Wash the chili pepper under running water.
- 5. Cut the chili pepper in half lengthwise.
- 6. Remove the seeds and white pith from the chili.
- 7. Cut the deseeded chili into thin strips.
- 8. Peel the garlic cloves of their skin.
- 9. Slice the garlic into thin rounds.
- 10. Slice the lemon into round slices.
- 11. Wash the fresh herbs under cold water.
- 12. Roughly tear the herbs into small pieces by hand.
- 13. Dry the herbs on a kitchen towel.
- 14. Heat four tablespoons of olive oil in a large frying pan.
- 15. Add the herbs, chili strips, and garlic to the hot oil.
- 16. Fry the aromatics briefly until they are fragrant.
- 17. Remove the solid ingredients from the pan with a spoon.
- 18. Leave the flavored oil in the pan.
- 19. Season the prawns with salt and pepper to taste.
- 20. Coat the prawns in flour until lightly covered.
- 21. Shake off any excess flour from the prawns.
- 22. Place the prawns into the hot oil in the pan.
- 23. Fry the prawns for about one to two minutes per side.
- 24. Cook the prawns until golden brown and done.
- 25. Add the lemon slices to the pan with the prawns.
- 26. Return the previously removed herbs, chili, and garlic to the pan.
- 27. Wash the zucchini under running water.
- 28. Slice the zucchini into round slices.
- 29. Heat some oil in a separate small frying pan.
- 30. Fry the zucchini slices until golden brown on both sides.
- 31. Season the fried zucchini with salt and pepper.
- 32. Serve the zucchini together with the prawns.
