🍳 Delicious Bulgur Breakfast Bowl

Ingredients
- 80 g bulgur
- 0.5 tsp ground cardamom
- 0.5 tsp cinnamon
- 0.25 tsp vanilla powder
- 1 small orange
- 0.5 pomegranate (150 g)
- 1 persimmon (alternatively sharon fruit)
- 200 g low-fat quark
- 200 g yogurt (3.5 % fat)
- 2 tsp liquid honey
- 1 tbsp chopped pistachio kernels (à 30 g)
- 1 tbsp sliced almonds (with skin; à 15 g)
Instructions
- 1. Put the bulgur and spices into a pot.
- 2. Add twice as much water as there is bulgur in the pot.
- 3. Bring the mixture to a boil on the stove.
- 4. Reduce the heat to the lowest setting.
- 5. Let the bulgur simmer for about 10 minutes.
- 6. Stir once in a while to prevent anything from sticking to the bottom of the pot.
- 7. Peel the orange and remove all the white pith.
- 8. Cut out the orange segments between the membranes.
- 9. Chop the orange segments into small pieces.
- 10. Remove the seeds from half of the pomegranate.
- 11. Wash the kaki fruit under running water.
- 12. Peel the kaki and remove the hard stem base.
- 13. Cut the kaki flesh into small cubes.
- 14. Mix the low-fat quark, yogurt, and honey in a bowl.
- 15. Stir the mixture until smooth and no lumps are visible.
- 16. Fill the quark mixture into small bowls.
- 17. Spread the cooked bulgur over the quark mixture.
- 18. Add the prepared orange segments on top.
- 19. Sprinkle the pomegranate seeds over the bowl.
- 20. Place the kaki cubes on top as decoration.
- 21. Sprinkle the whole thing with pistachios.
- 22. Add the almonds at the end.
