  1. 1. Pour 1.5 liters of boiling water over the hibiscus flowers. Add the seeds scraped from one vanilla pod as well as the empty pod itself. Let the tea steep under a lid for 20 minutes.
  2. 2. Strain the liquid through a fine mesh sieve. Stir in lemon juice and sweeten to taste with rock sugar. Serve the tea either warm or chilled.
