🍽️ Fruity Easter Eggs Made of Nuts and Biscuit Crumbs

Ingredients
- 80 g Whole wheat semolina bread (8 slices)
- 400 g Dried fruit (e.g. apricots, plums, figs, raisins)
- 100 g Cashew nuts
- 1 Organic orange
- 15 g Cocoa powder (2 tbsp)
- 15 g Coconut flakes (2 tbsp)
Instructions
- 1. Place the biscuit slices into a freezer bag.
- 2. Crush the biscuit into fine crumbs using a rolling pin.
- 3. Finely chop the dried fruits and cashew nuts with a large knife.
- 4. Add the chopped nuts and fruits to a bowl.
- 5. Add the biscuit crumbs to the bowl.
- 6. Rinse the orange under hot water and dry it.
- 7. Grate the fine zest of the orange.
- 8. Halve the orange and squeeze out the juice.
- 9. Add the orange zest and 6 tablespoons of orange juice to the crumb mixture.
- 10. Mix everything with the dough hooks of a hand mixer until you have a smooth mass.
- 11. If the mixture is too firm, add a little more orange juice.
- 12. Place the cocoa powder on a flat plate.
- 13. Place the coconut flakes on a second flat plate.
- 14. Shape small Easter eggs from the nut mixture using your hands.
- 15. Roll half of the eggs in the cocoa powder.
- 16. Roll the other half of the eggs in the coconut flakes.
- 17. Place the finished confectionery eggs into chocolate molds.
