  1. 1. Pour 750 milliliters of hot water over the tea bags.
  2. 2. Let the tea steep for about 5 minutes.
  3. 3. Remove the tea bags from the liquid.
  4. 4. Sweeten the tea to your liking.
  5. 5. Let the sweetened tea cool down completely.
  6. 6. Peel the ginger.
  7. 7. Grate the peeled ginger finely.
  8. 8. Add the grated ginger to the cooled tea.
  9. 9. Place the mixture in the refrigerator for about 2 hours.
  10. 10. Strain the tea mixture through a fine sieve to remove the ginger.
  11. 11. Wash the unwaxed lime under hot water.
  12. 12. Dry the lime with a cloth.
  13. 13. Peel the lime skin into fine zest strips.
  14. 14. Squeeze the juice from all the fruits.
  15. 15. Add the fruit juice and lime zest to the tea.
  16. 16. Chill the finished mixture for another 1 hour.
  17. 17. Dip the rim of the glasses briefly into water.
  18. 18. Dip the wet glass rim into the sugar to create a white edge.
  19. 19. Garnish each glass with a slice of lime.
  20. 20. Pour the cold iced tea into the prepared glasses.
  21. 21. Serve the drink with drinking straws.
