🍽️ Juicy Turkey Roast with Citrus Notes

Ingredients
- 1.5 kg turkey thigh
- 1 handful oregano
- 4 garlic cloves
- salt
- steak pepper
- 1 untreated lemon
Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven. Set the temperature to 160 degrees Celsius. Select the top and bottom heat setting.
- 2. Rinse the turkey thigh under running water. Pat it completely dry with kitchen paper afterwards.
- 3. Wash the oregano sprigs under cold water. Shake them well to remove excess water.
- 4. Take half of the oregano sprigs. Gently pluck the leaves off the stems. Chop the leaves finely.
- 5. Peel the garlic clove. Chop the clove very finely. Crush the chopped garlic piece afterwards with the knife.
- 6. Rub the turkey thigh with the crushed garlic. Season the meat generously with salt. Season the meat generously with pepper.
- 7. Take the remaining oregano sprigs. Place them in a roasting pan. Lay the seasoned turkey thigh on top of the sprigs.
- 8. Squeeze the lemon over the meat. Place the squeezed lemon halves into the roasting pan.
- 9. Distribute the chopped oregano evenly over the turkey thigh.
- 10. Place the roasting pan in the preheated oven. Roast the meat for 1 hour and 30 minutes.
- 11. Remove the roasting pan from the oven. Let the meat rest for 10 minutes before slicing it.
