🍽️ Fresh Watercress Salad with Shrimp and Apple

Ingredients
- 1 bunch watercress
- 2 apples
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 2 stalks celery
- 150 g crème fraîche
- 2 tbsp ketchup
- 0.5 tsp mustard
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp orange juice
- 1 pinch chili powder
- salt
- pepper (from the mill)
- 300 g fresh shrimp (pre-cooked)
- 2 tbsp olive oil (for frying)
Instructions
- 1. Thoroughly wash the watercress.
- 2. Let the greens drain well.
- 3. Trim off the bottom ends of the stems slightly.
- 4. Wash the apples thoroughly.
- 5. Quarter the apples.
- 6. Remove the core.
- 7. Cut the flesh into small cubes.
- 8. Immediately mix the apple pieces with the lemon juice.
- 9. Wash the celery stalk.
- 10. Remove tough strings and leaves.
- 11. Slice the celery into about half-centimeter thick rounds.
- 12. Put the creme fraiche into a bowl.
- 13. Add the mustard.
- 14. Add the oil.
- 15. Stir in the ketchup.
- 16. Pour in the orange juice.
- 17. Sprinkle in the chili powder.
- 18. Season with salt.
- 19. Season with pepper.
- 20. Whisk all ingredients together into a smooth sauce.
- 21. Heat the oil in a pan.
- 22. Fry the shrimp in the hot oil.
- 23. Cook them on all sides.
- 24. Cook for two to three minutes.
- 25. Remove the pan from the heat.
- 26. Let the shrimp cool down briefly.
- 27. Place the watercress on the plates.
- 28. Distribute the celery slices on top.
- 29. Add the apple pieces.
- 30. Place the cooled shrimp on the salad.
- 31. Drizzle the vinaigrette over everything.
- 32. Serve the salad immediately.
