  10. 10. Let the soup simmer gently for about 25 minutes.
  11. 11. Cut the bread into small cubes.
  12. 12. Peel the apple.
  13. 13. Cut the apple into quarters.
  14. 14. Remove the core from the apple pieces.
  15. 15. Slice the apple pieces into wedges.
  16. 16. Fry the bread cubes in the remaining butter until crispy.
