🍽️ Sweet and Sour Chicken Pan with Snow Peas

Ingredients
- 350 g chicken breast fillet (diced)
- 3 tbsp oil
- 1 shallot
- 1 clove garlic
- 100 g snow peas
- 4 tbsp sherry
- 4 tbsp light soy sauce
- 1 tsp freshly grated ginger
- 1 tbsp flour
- 2 oranges
- salt
- pepper (from the mill)
Instructions
- 1. Peel the shallot.
- 2. Finely chop the shallot.
- 3. Wash the snow peas.
- 4. Remove the tough ends and strings from the snow peas.
- 5. Heat a frying pan.
- 6. Sear the chicken pieces in the hot pan for 2 to 3 minutes.
- 7. Add the finely chopped shallot to the pan.
- 8. Add the prepared snow peas to the pan.
- 9. Press the garlic directly into the pan.
- 10. Cook everything for another 5 minutes, stirring constantly.
- 11. Cut off the peel from the orange.
- 12. Remove all white pith from the orange peel.
- 13. Carefully cut the orange flesh segments out of the membranes.
- 14. Catch the released orange juice in a bowl.
- 15. Cut a small piece of the orange peel into thin strips.
- 16. Whisk together the sherry, soy sauce, collected orange juice, flour, and ginger in a small bowl.
- 17. Pour the sauce into the pan.
- 18. Bring the sauce to a boil while stirring.
- 19. Season the sauce with salt and pepper.
- 20. Add the orange flesh segments to the pan.
- 21. Add the orange peel strips to the pan.
- 22. Serve the dish immediately.
