🍽️ Fruity Barbecue Sauce

Ingredients
- 2 juice oranges
- 125 g pineapple fruit flesh (fresh pineapple)
- 75 g streaky bacon
- 2 small onions
- 1 tbsp oil
- 200 ml ketchup
- 4 tbsp maple syrup
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 2 dried chili peppers
Instructions
- 1. Cut the oranges in half.
- 2. Squeeze the oranges.
- 3. Measure out 100 ml of orange juice.
- 4. Peel the pineapple.
- 5. Dice the pineapple flesh into small pieces.
- 6. Dice the bacon finely.
- 7. Peel the onions.
- 8. Chop the onions finely.
- 9. Heat the oil in a pan.
- 10. Add the bacon to the pan.
- 11. Fry the bacon until crispy over medium heat.
- 12. Add the onions.
- 13. Fry the onions for 1 minute while stirring.
- 14. Pour off the fat from the pan.
- 15. Leave about 1/2 teaspoon of fat in the pan.
- 16. Add the pineapple to the pan.
- 17. Add the ketchup to the pan.
- 18. Add the maple syrup to the pan.
- 19. Add the orange juice to the pan.
- 20. Add the Worcestershire sauce to the pan.
- 21. Add the chili peppers to the pan.
- 22. Bring the mixture to a boil.
- 23. Simmer the sauce for 4-5 minutes over medium heat.
- 24. Place a sieve over a bowl.
- 25. Pour the sauce through the sieve.
- 26. Press the sauce through the sieve with a ladle.
- 27. Let the sauce cool down.
- 28. Serve the sauce.
